Our mission at the department of Nutrition and Dietetics is to serve the community through education, research, and advocacy. The Nutrition and Dietetics department at Global University offers the following undergraduate program:

Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics

The Nutrition and Dietetics major at Global University is designed to equip students with the expertise and practical skills needed for success in the field. Through a rigorous curriculum, hands-on training, and cutting-edge research opportunities, we prepare our students for diverse career paths in healthcare, public health, and research. Our comprehensive education covers human nutrition, therapeutic diet planning, community health, sports nutrition, and food safety, ensuring graduates are well-rounded professionals. Emphasizing experiential learning, we empower students to make tangible contributions to human health and well-being, locally and globally. By fostering critical thinking, communication, and leadership abilities, our program prepares students to excel in various professional settings, including hospitals, clinics, public health agencies, and private practice.

Nutrition graduates become credentialed dietetic professionals after doing the 6-month hospital training and passing the Dietetics Colloquium exam by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and obtaining the Lebanese Dietetic Licensure from the Ministry of Public Health.

Upon completing the requirements for the three-year Bachelor of Sciences in Nutrition and Dietetics program, graduates can seek professional career opportunities in:

  • Private nutrition clinics
  • Hospital Clinical Dietitian
  • Community health centers
  • Food and diet centers and catering companies
  • Nursing homes and long-term care
  • Ministry of Public Health
  • Non-governmental organizations (NGO)
  • Teaching institutions (Dietician at schools)
