Global University Hosts Breast Cancer Awareness Lecture to Promote Education and Prevention Beirut, October 28, 2025 — The Faculty of Health Sciences at Global University organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Lecture at the University Library, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for an informative and interactive session dedicated to education, prevention, and empowerment. The program featured three expert-led presentations highlighting key aspects of breast cancer awareness: Dr. Layla Jawhar, Director of the Nursing Department, emphasized the importance of early detection and breast self-examination in reducing mortality rates and improving treatment outcomes. Mrs. Sara Rifai, from the Nutrition and Dietetics Department, discussed how healthy nutrition and lifestyle choices can help minimize cancer risk and support overall well-being. Dr. Layan Rifai and Dr. Samira Ayad, representing the Physiotherapy Department, presented on the role of movement and rehabilitation exercises in recovery and enhancing quality of life for breast cancer survivors. The event attracted a large audience who actively engaged with the speakers through questions and reflections, which transformed the session into a remarkable platform for active learning. Global University Collaborates with Rafic Hariri University Hospital for a Food Poisoning Awareness Day The Nutrition and Dietetics students from Global University organized an awareness day on food poisoning prevention, in collaboration with the Nutrition and Dietetics team at Rafic Hariri University Hospital (RHUH). The event was held on the hospital premises and attended by Global University instructors, along with medical and administrative staff from RHUH. This interactive awareness activity aimed to educate visitors on how to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure safe food handling practices at home. Specialists provided practical advice on proper food storage and offered guidelines for managing symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting resulting from food poisoning. Pediatricians also participated by raising parents’ awareness of the warning signs that require immediate medical attention or an emergency visit. Visitors benefited from free medical consultations and personalized preventive counseling throughout the day. الجامعة العالمية تحتفي بخريجيها في حفلٍ يعبق بعبير النجاح والعطاء في أجواءٍ مفعمةٍ بالاعتزاز، أقامت الجامعة العالمية – Global University بفرعيها في بيروت ودوحة الحص حفلَ تخرّج دفعة عام 2025 في صرحها في دوحة الحص، بحضور رئيس الجامعة النائب الدكتور عدنان طرابلسي، الدكتور حسان خير الدين ممثّلًا وزير الصحة الدكتور ركان ناصر الدين، والعميد الركن سامي الحَسَنِيَّة ممثّلًا قائد الجيش اللبناني العماد رودولف هيكل، والمقدم زياد عزيز ممثّلًا المدير العام للأمن العام اللواء حسن شقير، والنقيب فراس طربيه ممثّلًا المدير العام لجهاز أمن الدولة السيد إدغار لاوندس، ورئيس وحدة الخدمة والعمليات السيد وليد حشاش ممثّلًا المدير العام للدفاع المدني العميد الركن عماد خريش، وأعضاء بلدية بيروت؛ الدكتور أحمد شاتيلا والمهندس محمد مشاقة، والدكتور محمد بالوظة، ومدير فرع بيروت في جمعية المشاريع الخيرية الإسلامية الأستاذ الحاج عبد الله عميري، وعددٍ من النقباء والشخصيات الأكاديمية والتربوية والاجتماعية، وحشدٍ كبير من الأهالي الذين شاركوا أبناءهم فرحة هذا الإنجاز المنتظر. انطلقت فعاليات الحفل بدخول موكب الخريجين والخريجات يتقدمه عمداء الكليات ورؤساء الأقسام، ثم النشيد الوطني اللبناني، وتُليت آياتٌ من القرآن الكريم إيذانًا ببدء مراسم التخرج. تلا ذلك كلماتٌ لثلاثة من خريجي الجامعة عبّروا فيها عن مشاعر الفخر والامتنان، شاكرين إدارة الجامعة وأساتذتها على دعمهم المتواصل خلال مسيرتهم الأكاديمية، وموجّهين تحيةً خاصةً لأهاليهم الذين ساندوهم حتى لحظة التتويج. بعدها ألقى رئيس الجامعة النائب الدكتور عدنان طرابلسي كلمةً هنّأ فيها الخريجين على ما حققوه من إنجازٍ علمي، مؤكّدًا أنّ هذا اليوم هو تتويجٌ لسنواتٍ من المثابرة والعطاء، وبدايةُ مرحلةٍ جديدة من المسؤولية والعمل الجاد، مشيرًا إلى أنّ الجامعة العالمية ستبقى منارةً للعلم والبحث والابتكار، ومصدر اعتزاز بخريجيها الذين يحملون رسالة العلم إلى المجتمع. وفي الختام، قام رئيس الجامعة النائب الدكتور عدنان طرابلسي والمدير الأكاديمي الدكتور أحمد شاتيلا بتوزيع الشهادات على الخريجين والخريجات وسط أجواءٍ احتفاليةٍ غمرتها مشاعر الفرح، واختُتم الحفل بالتقاط الصور التذكارية وتبادل التهاني، إيذانًا بانطلاق فصلٍ جديدٍ من مسيرة التألّق والنجاح في حياة الخريجين متسلحين بالعلم والنهج المعتدل في التعامل مع أفراد المجتمع.
The 7th Annual Scientific Conference
Global University Participates in the 7th Annual Scientific Conference of Dar Al Ajaza Al Islamia Hospital Global University accepted the invitation of Dar Al Ajaza Al Islamia Hospital to participate in its 7th Annual Scientific Conference, hosted at Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut. Launched under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nassereddine, the event was held under the theme “Healthy Minds, Healthy Aging.” The university was represented by: · Dr. Ahmad Shatila, Academic Director · Dr. Zeinab Jaafar, Head of the Department of Physical Therapy · Dr. Layla Jawhar, Director of the Nursing Department The delegation also included a number of students and graduates from the Faculty of Health sciences, whose active participation reflected the university’s commitment to engaging its students in professional and scientific activities, not least of which exposing them to current healthcare issues. The conference featured a series of insightful lectures, delivered by a distinguished group of physicians and specialists who addressed both physical and mental health challenges associated with aging. BLS Workshop
Global University Hosts AHA-Certified BLS Workshop in Collaboration with Bellevue Medical Center The Nursing Department at Global University proudly hosted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop at its Batrakiyye campus on Saturday, October 11, 2025, led by the expert medical training team from Bellevue Medical Center. Officially certified by the American Heart Association (AHA), the workshop ensured that all participants received internationally recognized instruction in life-saving techniques. Students and healthcare professionals from the Faculty of Health Sciences participated in this intensive, hands-on training, where they practiced critical CPR and emergency response skills under the guidance of Bellevue’s certified instructors. The session integrated theoretical learning with real-life practical simulations, delivering a highly engaging and skill-enhancing experience to participants. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants completed an official AHA assessment, with all attendees successfully passing the exam and earning American Heart Association–certified BLS certificates. Participants expressed great satisfaction with the workshop experience, highlighting its professional guidance, teamwork, and confidence-building atmosphere throughout the day. This collaboration underscores Global University’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and community service, equipping both students and healthcare professionals with essential, internationally-recognized life-saving skills.

ورشة عمل حول اضطرابات المفصل الصدغي الفكي تسلط الضوء على دور العلاج الفيزيائي نظّم قسم العلاج الفيزيائي في الجامعة العالمية، بالتعاون مع نقابة المعالجين الفيزيائيين في لبنان، ورشة عمل متخصصة ، وذلك في المركز الصحي التابع للجامعة العالمية بعنوان:” “Mastering Physical Therapy for Temporomandibular Disorders” يومي 27 و 28 أيلول 2025. جمعت الفعالية معالجين فيزيائيين من مختلف أنحاء لبنان ليومٍين من التدريب المتقدم والتطبيق العملي. واستُهلّت الورشة بكلمة ترحيبية ألقتها الدكتورة زينب جعفر فتح الله، رئيسة قسم العلاج الفيزيائي في الجامعة. قاد الورشة كلٌّ من الدكتور كميل حداد، المتخصص في آلام الوجه والفكين، والدكتور ماهر فتح الله، معالج فيزيائي ومحاضر في جامعة جلوبال. عرض الدكتور حداد أسباب اضطرابات المفصل الصدغي الفكي وأحدث العلاجات الطبية لها، في حين قدّم الدكتور فتح الله تقنيات التقييم و الطرق الحديثة في المعالجة الفيزيائية لهذه الحالات. سلّطت الورشة الضوء على الدور المهم الذي كثيرًا ما يُغفل عنه للعلاج الفيزيائي في علاج اضطرابات الفك، كما أكدت على أهمية التعاون بين المعالجين الفيزيائيين وأخصائيي تقويم الأسنان. وفي ختام الورشة، تم توزيع شهادات مشاركة على الحاضرين

رئيس الجامعة العالمية يزور المدير العام للدفاع المدني اللبناني زار رئيسُ الجامعةِ العالميةِ (Global University) سعادةُ الدكتور النائب عدنان طرابلسي، على رأسِ وفدٍ ضمَّ الدكتورَ أحمدَ شاتيلا (عضوَ مجلس بلدية بيروت) والدكتورةَ زينة الحكيم والدكتورةَ سارة عكاري المديرَ العامَّ للدفاعِ المدنيِّ اللبنانيِّ؛ العميد الركن عماد خريش لتهنئته بمنصبه الجديد. وقد قامَ النائبُ الدكتور عدنان طرابلسي بِشُكْرِ المديريةِ العامَّة للدفاع المدني اللبناني على مشاركتِهَا الجامعةَ العالميةَ في تدريبِ طلابِ الدورة الصيفيَّةِ التي نظّمتها صيفَ 2025 تحتَ عنوان: (كيف تنقذ حياة). كما قدّم الوفدُ درعًا إلى المديرية العامة للدفاع المدني كعربونِ شكرٍ وتقديرٍ لِجهودها التي تبذلها للحفاظِ على سلامة الوطن والمواطنين. تأتي هذه الزيارة في إطار تعزيز التعاون بين الجامعة العالمية ومؤسسات الدولة، والتأكيدِ على دور الجامعة في دعم طلابِها بالخُبُرَاتِ العَمَلِيَّةِ والتَّدْرِيْبَاتِ المَيْدَانِيَّةِ، بما يسهم في إعدادهم لمواجهة التحديات وخدمة المجتمع.
دورة الصيف الرياضية
دورة الصّيف الرياضيّة للجامعة العالمية أقامت الجامعة العالمية Global University دورة الصيف الرياضية بكرة القدم و Padel في يومٍ رياضيٍ طويلٍ تنافست فيه عشرةُ فرقٍ رياضيةٍ وعدد من لاعبي الرياضة الجديدة الـ Padel من طلاب وخريجي الجامعة وفرق من مدارس المشاريع في بيروت والجبل. فاز بالكأس فريق الجامعة قسم علوم الكمبيوتر والمرتبة الثانية حل فريق الحسام الرياضي وتخلل اليوم الرياضي محاضرة توجيهية من المدرب الكابتن محمد ألجاتي عن أهمية اللقاءات الرياضية التي تجمع الشباب والمنفعةُ البدنية والنفسية وأهمية المحافظ على الأخلاق الرياضية. وكعادتها تسعى إدارة الجامعة العالمية إلى نشر الثقافة الرياضية بين طلابها التي بها تدفع كثيرًا من الأمراض.
