Scientific cooperation agreement between
Global University and the University of Damascus
Damascus University and Global
University signed a scientific cooperation agreement
on the twenty-eighth of July 2009. The agreement was
signed by Damascus University president Dr. Wael
Moaala and Global University president Dr. Adnan
Traboulsi. The agreement facilitates the exchange of
academic staff, students and research in all
scientific disciplines promoting cultural exchange
between various colleges of both universities.
The agreement facilitates the exchange of short and
long visits of representatives, faculty members and
administrators in order to exchange scientific
information and expertise in the field of higher
education and scientific research and the results of
research, lecturing and participating in
conferences, symposia, seminars and other scientific
activities and scientific research on topics of
common interest as well as to exchange students’
scientific knowledge as well as training and
participation in cultural activities and sports.
The agreement included cooperation in the field of
scientific research and graduate studies in order to
implement and develop joint research projects and
exchange of information through direct contact
between the faculties and departments concerned and
to contribute to the joint supervision of
postgraduate students’ research papers in both
universities as well as cooperation in the field of
scientific publishing and the exchange of scientific
publications and documents such as publications,
periodicals, plans , curricula and rules relating to
the equivalency of diplomas and scientific research
and the dissemination of scientific articles in
scientific journals and magazines produced by both
universities.
The agreement is for a four years term renewable on
the desire of both parties.
