A change in Training Of
Quality Managers
4 ALL QUADRANTS, ALL LEVELS
The eight
levels of Spiral Dynamics
are “nested” or holonic and
conditions from each of the
levels should be present in
an organisation for it to be
“healthy”. Early
discussions suggest that
organisations contain all
the
vMEMEs
can be present but in
different proportions with
one being more dominant than
the rest.
Organisations seem to be
“moving” up the spiral as
they begin to shift say from
Orange and the emphasis on
financial success to Green
with more of an emphasis on
the community and
environment.
Tensions can
occur when individuals in
organisations are at a
higher level, say Green, and
resist the imposition of
rules and regulations.
Process
thinking with its link to
systemic thinking is proving
to be a way of introducing
individuals to the “higher”
levels of thinking.
Charts have
been shared with the Group
that map organisational
development practices and
leadership theories onto the
All Quadrants, All Levels
Model giving some idea of
the complexity and the
potential of this whole
approach (Appendices B & C).
